Ken has graves disease (hyperthyroidism). Medicated for 4 years or so. Numbers have always been ok. So you all remember this past issue with the "stroke" thing? Doc calls today. His number should be between something like 00.2 but the HIGHEST should be 4.02. Wanna know where he's at????

105.86!!!! Off the freaking charts...we go back monday to talk. May just be time for surgery to correct this one. Thought you like an update. Thanks for all the kind and supportive words. I'll keep you posted!

Just knowing what is wrong is over half of the battle! I bet he will be feeling better soon.

The poor guy!! At least you know he really hasn't been feeling well, and wasn't just being a useless lump. I hope he gets this straightened out asap and can get on with life. Good luck, guys!

Wow, at least now that you've got to the bottom, you can get it fixed and get back in the right direction. What a mess. I feel for both of you. Try and have a good weekend.

Dear'ladybugs'
Am very sorry for all you and Ken have gone through .He must have felt like the pits.No wonder he was sleeping a lot and feeling depressed .Barbara Bush wrote a book about her journey with Grave's Disease and she talked about how she felt she was going mad and wanted to drive her car into a tree just to escape everything. After treatment she felt fully recovered.

Thyroids can be such devils.I do hope Ken gets the surgery he needs and will begin the journey of recovery'
Love and Blessings to you both

Holy smoke! No WONDER he felt so bad! Good to know they found out what it was and it's something that can be treated. A quick question - is he having problems with his eyes? A friend of mine had Graves and her eyes got to where they were bulging a little before she was treated. I've heard that Graves is why the comedian Marty Feldman had such crazy eyes.
