... ogling up and flirting with the hot, good-looking twentysomethings?
I love my husband dearly and wouldn't dream of cheating, but I work around a lot of younger people... and there are some HOT young men who are very easy on the eye! Recently I lost some weight and toned up and feel pretty good about myself and can't help flirting with the youngsters... makes me feel good, and curiously enough it makes for an easier working relationship too. Am I just a menopausal old woman being an embarrassment?
(I don't do it with my 21 year old son's friends though. There are some boundaries!)

I just don't find twenty-somethings attractive. Sure I can appreciate if they're goodlooking, but they seem like children to me, being the same age as my son. Thirty and Forty somethings are something else again!

Okay, okay... I own up to it!!

But I flirt with ALL the guys I work with. I don't age discriminate

Nope. My 22 year old son, 50 year old husband and several other males ranging in different ages have been standing on my last nerve the past several days and I am in no mood to ogle or flirt with any human that has a *third* leg. Even if they weren't irritating me, I still have no interest in young men, no matter how good they look. I prefer men closer to my age.

OMG! I HAVE to tell you about Ben! He's about 25 years old, works at the Valvoline lube shop in town and is a customer at my mother's store. He is absolutely adorable -- about 6' tall, not fat but husky, brown hair, blue eyes, and has the most gorgeous smile. Just gives me chills of delight whenever he flashes it. WHEW! I feel like a complete pervert, but I can't help but flirt with him whenever I see him. I'm sure he's not the least bit interested, but he at least pretends it's OK. I look pretty good for my age (48 but could pass for mid-30s if I dyed my salt & pepper hair), but I'm still old enough to be his mother. I wonder if Demi Moore can give me some advice on how to be a "cougar" and snag a young stud like she did?

Please don't take this the wrong way. I, too, look and admire other attractive men, but I would never dream of flirting with any of them--young or old.
I think of how hurt I would be if my hubby flirted with a younger, firmer, perky-breasted female and that keeps my mind on business.

I'm with you, book, except these days I don't think I find any of them attractive.

Meant to add, I think my hormones are just not high enough for me to find other men attractive, even though they are helping with symptoms.

Great responses! Especially Webalina's...
I think I still flirt with the young guys because inside my head I still feel like I'm 17.

I'll own up to it!!! I work in a school and see LOTS of cute, younger dads...my age preference is 35 and up....any younger is just too close to my son/son in law ages.....

Plus, most of them wear their baseball caps backwards and that drives me nuts
Actually have one divorced dad who comes in often and we get quite chatty to the point that the secretary teases me about it but she does admit he's quite cute
Some months, when my hormones line up nicely, I can get
very flirtatious!!!!!
And DH gets the end results so it's a win/win!

Just to be clear.... I flirt in front of my hubby!! I think we might have a couple different levels of flirting going on here. I would never cheat... (okay, maybe if George Clooney called I would

) and I don't touch or make sexual advances! I call the 22 year old that works with me "cutie pie" and stuff like that. I call him that IN FRONT of my hubby!

I like looking at a younger attractive male specimen, but to me now its a bit like looking at a lovely garden. I can appreciate it, admire it and enjoy looking at it but I couldn't be bothered weeding and getting grit in my fingernails.

I see twenty-somethings and think "son" all the time...( I dont know HOW MEN do it, really I dont)
I've moved on to very late thirties, early forties...(flirts)
Fifty year old men ..scare me

Same here 'moonlight'
Younger men do not interest me in the least.I feel they are like my sons.
Flirting is fun and harmless within the boundaries you all mentioned.
Personally give me a good book and a glass of warm milk!
Best Wishes

I guess it's easier for me because I have neither husband or children (especially sons) to worry about. I can appreciate a handsome man regardless of the age. As CelticTigress said, I still feel 17 in my head, so it's a conflict. But underage (less than 21) is a little TOO young. They look like babies!I guess it's easier for men to do it because NONE of them ever grow up and mature. I've always said that men don't grow up, they just get older and bigger.

Well I may be peri/meno but I'm sure not blind LOL.... Later 20's Early early to mid 30's is up my alley, nothing wrong with looking & a little flirting.... But touching is whole different story...
Men do it all the time, So why shouldn't we, I guess whatever floats your boat I say..... Everyone is different on this subject.
