Hi, at last somewhere I can ask and not feel like I should instinctively "know" what a hot/cold flush is biggrin.gif

I have had more cold flashes than hot ones and had no idea what the heck could be wrong until I did a bit of googling and found that they are a symptom of menopause - I also get times when I suddenly feel incredibly hot, like I am burning all over, worst in my upper body, my skin feels clammy to the touch but cold rather than hot, very much like a fluey type of feeling - hubby felt my skin the last time it happened because i was complaining of feeling like I was on fire just so so hot, but he said my skin felt cool to the touch. I don't get any redness or flushing, nor do I sweat, sometimes I feel damp/clammy other times I don't - am I having hot/cold flashes?

I pray for a cold flash.

I am going thorough the same exact thing - no one I know is experiencing this - it is comforting to know someone who is - when I get cold it is like I am cold from the inside - no amount of cover seems to warm me up - even used towels out of the dryer one night - never fear though - what I have found is if you wait long enough - you will have a hot flash and being throwing off the cover again - hang in there!

I had a cold flash just yesterday. I went from being comfortably cool to FREEZING -- shivering even -- in about 2 seconds and then about 30 seconds later it was gone. I had never HEARD of cold flashes until I started having them. How come nobody talks about these? Why just the hot flashes and not the cold ones? They are just as miserable.

I've had cold flashes where I wished for a hot flash believe it or not!
