I think I'm experiencing my first hot flushes but they are concerning me a bit. It's not so much the warmth in my face but it's the pressure in my head and face that goes with it. I feel as if all the blood is rushng to my head and my head is going to burst. I then feel the heat in my face but it feels cool on the outside to touch. Does this sound normal???

Hot flashes and flushes can come in a variety of forms but I think I would have a check up just to make sure you are not having high blood pressure.I mention this because when I had a bout of HBP my head did feel as if it were bursting

It wouldn't hurt too to have your hormone and Thyroid levels checked too.
I am sure all will be well,but your peace of mind and health are of first priority.

Yes. I could say yes even without reading your post. Hot flashes are so scary and weird so anything that is hot, cold, scary, weird in my book is a hot flash.

High blood pressure can go hand in hand with a hot flash. Which comes first: The high BP or the hot flash???? Great question!!!

Do get checked by a dr that you can trust though. You wll be fine though.

Yesterday I had HBP with a hot flash at the drs. Gained 4 lbs. Got a new med. Oh my!!!! Welcome to the fun!!!

Hi, I get the hot flushes more than hot flashes. My face gets red & hot feeling. And I get a headache to go along with it & my body aches like I am getting the flu or a virus???I have done this forever, and until coming here did NOT no what this was or in regards to!!!
