Recently during my periods I have had days where I would have gushes of just clear fluid that would soak a tampon and over flow.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Is it related to perimenopause?

I think if I were you, I would call my dr. I have never heard anyone mention this before either here or anywhere else. I would ere on the side of caution if I were you.

I have not heard of this either do you have other symptoms odor, itching or a cheesy like discharge. Could be a infection. I would be having a chat with your Dr when you next see him or her, just to be on the safe side. Keep us posted..

I have had the "watery" periods before...as a matter of fact it happens quite often.not sure why it happens though.

Only during my period and always toward the end.

I googled the topic and apparently many other women have experienced this also.

It's just like water....no odor, no itching, no discharge, no discomfort of any kind....toward the end of my period i'll change my tampon because i feel like its leaking and it will be soaked with clear fluid tampon still perfectly white...then the next time i change tampons it will be back to blood.
