I am 42 yrs old and had my last period 3/16 but started again today 4/2.

Is an 18 day cycle normal?

Thanks,

Hi...Its been my experience that this stuff can be all over the place...It has been 8 months since my last period. I still expect it to come back. I try stay positive. Everyone is different. I would suggest you keep track of your cycles. It is nice to have it on paper if you need to go to the doctor. Good luck and keep reading the posts here. There is a wealth of info on it.

Hi susan:

My periods are all over the place. Some months I will have 2-3 periods and others it will be 6 weeks in between. Normal is not in the menopause dictionary.

Hugs to you and welcome to PS.

I feel the same way....and I am now so anxious all the time.

And I felt like 42 was a little young for this to be happening!

My periods are all over the place too. I've had them as close as 21 days apart and as far apart as 64 days. I've skipped a few entirely. Currently I'm at 46 days between periods. I hope this continues . . .
