It is not exactly a pain or an ache. It is more like the sensation you get when kids play that game when they pretend to crack an egg over your knee. Sort of cold and runny. Sounds strange I know, but what isn't strange about all this.

Anyone else get this?

I don't get cold and runny...but perhaps I just describe it differently...I get in just my right knee a sort of numbness and tingling like I am just comming out of anthesthia (sp ugh!) in that area....like someone gave me novicane and it is wearing off.....and a bit of weakness.....I don't have it so much now but used to have it a LOT. My right knee feels stiff and then I have to move it around until it makes a cracking noise. Cold and runny... I haven't had that feeling as of yet. I've noticed if it's cold and damp my knee gets worse. Hoping for sunny warm days ahead. I hope you feel better soon.

My knees have been aching lately...I blame it on the weight gain

I get closer to what Jalyn described. My ND suggested shoe inserts, so I tried an inexpensive brand. WHile it makes walking more comfy, it hasn't helped as much as I hoped with the cracking. I have noted that it gets more noticable the closer I get to my period.
We just got snow the other day, so I'm hoping for warm and sunny too...I'm sure it'll help!
