Lately I've been noticing my scalp feels damp and itchy like if gnats were making it itch on a humid day! It's not hot here nor is this feeling hot flash related.
Kinda like when I had a reaction to some med I was prescibed yrs ago...but, I am not on any meds-NOTHING!

This feeling comes and goes all day long!

I am usuing the same shampoo/conditioner I have used for yrs!...and am NOT eating any different foods.

Chalk it up to Meno symptom? (may as well huh) smile.gif

My scalp also gets itchy too. I have tried everything under the sun! I don't have dandruff or anything wrong..just noticed at different times of the month, my scalp will itch. So I hear your frustration.

The one thing I did try was Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Shampoo and it seemed to help a little. I only use it once a week as it tends to dry my hair, but I read somewhere that it helps to really clean the scalp..so maybe it might help you?

I am sure the ladies will have some good advice also.

Take Care

If it is damp it could be a yeast infection.

My skin, including my scalp, has been terribly itchy lately. Some days I could scratch until I get raw!! Went to the doctors and she said that it's typical this time of the year and in menopausal women. (I'm 14 months post). Selsun Blue shampoo really helps the itchy scalp, and if I use it on my shoulders and back it helps that a little bit as well. I also take an antihistamine this time of the year to help control the itch.
Good Luck.
Hugs, Kleeo
