I have had major car issues since before Christmas and paid major amounts of money to have things replaced, fixed, parts and labor. Today I just have had it. I go to get new tires on the ol' jalopy and asked to have brake pads replaced and the next thing I know they want to tell me that I need this and that and the other thing and while having to wait 3 hours, I blew a gasket-so to speak lol. The customer service men in places think women are just pure idiots. Well, long story short. I came away with new tires but a very bad attitude, I just don't understand why these people keep trying to squeeze the blood out of people.
I am angry, angry, angry and this is after I have settled down.
I have been lied to, jerked around and cheated out of money to the point of no return!
I'm sick of being taken advantage of and I'm not going to take it anymore! lol
I did start out with a positive attitude and it went downhill from there. Not to be defeated-because the harder you fight against something like this-the worse it gets-I will start out again tomorrow and thank the Lord for another day.
I will survive.

I had an experience with my car a while back. It broke down on a trip, and of course it was on one of the hottest day on record in that area. And we couldn't run the AC. Long story short....I KNEW what was wrong with the car, as the EXACT thing had happened to my sister's car just a short time before this.

I get to the mechanic shop and TELL them, this is what is wrong. It is the Crank Sensor, I need a new one. They say, nope thats not the problem. And I say YES IT IS. So they spend hours, HOURS fiddling with that car, checking this, checking that, trying this, trying that....and none of it is making a difference!!

And here I am sitting, starving as it has past supper time by now, the day is a wasting and I am still 4 hours from my destination. So I tell them AGAIN, CHANGE THE CRANK SENSOR!!!

Finally they change the damn Crank Sensor....and GUESS WHAT???? That car purred like a kitten! OMG!! Was I PISSED OFF????? Because I was a "stupid woman" I knew NOTHING!! They were not stupid enough to try charging me for all the unnecessary work they did though, I think they knew better! Because I TOLD them when I got there what the problem was, if they had LISTENED to me, I would have been out of there in 15 minutes!!

So Ya, I feel the pain of being treated like a moron just because you are a woman.

Yes, these car dealers just love to soak women with things they DON'T need. They are always getting after my neighbor who is a single lady (who is in her 60's) She buys into whatever they say for fear she will have an accident and they know that now as she takes it to the same place over and over again. It is shameful on how they operate. My husband and I actually found a fair dealer who fixes cars.

I am sorry you had such a bad day but I am glad you stuck up for yourself. I too get tired of being treated certain ways just because I am a woman. eee gads.

Sorry you are having such a difficult day.... My brother usually takes my car in for repairs for that very reason.... I hope you're feeling better!

Somtimes I think they are trained to say whatever it takes to get the money. I will probably have to get a new car, and a supplement income to make payments-lol.
