Thank you, it has been horrible dealing with all these new found feelings, nite sweats are horrid, hot flashes happen so many times during the day its unbearable... and now this new chest burning!
Oh my YES! I am there too! ( I am 42 with a few hot flashes and a few more night sweats) I thought it was heartburn at first and was popping extra tums! Oh well, got some extra calcium that way-lol! Then spoke with my dr. yesterday at my physical appt. and he said could very well be hormonal if it doesn't feel heart/lung related. I described it as sort of a searing (sp?) sensation on and under my breastbone-moving to the right, into my armpit and actually around to my back. He also mentioned condochondritis (sp? again) and suggested that I pay close attention to whether it gets worse when I use my upper body muscles more than usual. He also suggested yoga and breathing exercises to see if that helps any. What I have noticed is that I don't feel the sensation nearly as much when I take motrin in the morning for headaches I sometimes awake with from teeth grinding (yup, I do that on top of everything else!). So the burning sensation, for me, is lessened with motrin. I would not have thought to try that on purpose because I was thinking along the lines of heartburn or gerd. I hope you find some relief!! ((Hugs)) Jan
