Mollymo,

Perhaps you are experiencing some vaginal dryness and so the friction is causing your vaginal tissues to tear? Maybe try a lubricant and see if that relieves the problem. There are several options for you if this is the issue.

Yes--I sometimes bleed after sex....I don't have sex often...and I don't bleed much (more like spotting for a few days)

Yes, and i believe it is from dryness as well. I know there's dryness and that does add to it. The walls start to thin so that cause bleeding too. It always freaks me out when it happens, even though I have been to the doctors and been checked. A lubricant may be a good idea.

Yes I had this im my 20s. I had cervical erosion which caused it. I had a D&C
and a biopsy taken and all was clear. I had to have regular smears for a while
after. Its very common especially if on BC pills, which I was at the time.
Get it checked but dont worry!

If you are bleeding from the inside of the vagina then you need to get it checked out. If you are bleeding from the outside edge of the vagina then this is due to the area around the vaginal opening becoming very thin and friable.I good lubricant can help. Topical oestrogen creams can help too but they need to be prescribed as their use should really be limited to a few months; after which you should take a break from them. Your doctor will advise you. Hope this helps. Antique

I had this once. It turned out to be an infection. I would see a doctor.
