Okay, Things are changing for me and screwing up my I am sure it is premenopause thing. I used to get awful anxiety before my period. Now I am not sure what is going on;

I had my Period about two weeks ago. I had stomach pains before it...a day or two after then they went away; Now I am having a heavey chest...rapid heart rate which makes you feel awful. Why is this happening after instead of before. Is it still hormonal???? I always think no matter what that it is my heart and I am going to die......even tho I have been doing this for 11 years. but I do not like change it scares me.

Any help would be appreciated
thanks

Hey Dana,

I'm sorry to hear that you are having such a difficult time. It could be that your estrogen levels are declining much faster which leaves progesteone out of balance causing the chest pain, anxiety, and everything elese. If you haven't done so, I would suggest the ovarian hormone panel...estradiol, progesterone, and total and free testosterone in the follicular (day 1-3) and luteal (day 19-21- of your cycle so that you at least know what your levels are and can make an informed decision as to what to do about the changes. Also, if you have't done so, you might want to get a thyroid panel done, TSH, Free T3, Free T4, and Thyroid Antibodies because thyroid disease can also cause the chest symptoms!

I know it can be very difficult and scarey with the chest pain, but balancing out your hormones would definitely help with this!

Best Wishes,

Good morning Dana!

I believe that any time you have symptoms like the ones you described, you should have them checked out by your doctor. It sounds amazingly like perimeno to me, but we all feel better when we know for sure. smile.gif

Please keep us posted on your progress. I hope the day is not too bad...

Warmest regards,
Marcy
