I was thinking along the same lines t, the sugar is effecting me. I have been watching what I eat and so sugary things are out and the last couple of times I've had lollies or anything super sweet I seem to have a bit of anxiety and my tremors will come back. I think if I have sweets I will have them during the day and not toward night as I don't seem to be able to burn it off and that's when tremors and anxiety will kick in. I have been post for nearly 3 years and every now and again I seem to have a cycle and the peri symptoms come back but to a lesser degree.

I was going to add another comment but that has vanished from my brain.... rolleyes.gif

Cheers choco

Sounds like since you haven't had it in a while, your insulin levels spiked causing those symptoms. Usually, if I am going to eat something sweet, I have milk with it and that helps with the sugar absorption...or I have some other protein before I eat it!

The less sugar you have the quicker the shakies, in my opinion. I dont' ever do it at night or I wake up during the night and am shaking and really hate that feeling. I guess in the long run it's a good thing, keeps me away from junk food. (for the most part)

Totally get the shakes if I eat sugar. Have been trying a "no white stuff" (no sweets, bread, pasta, etc) for the past couple of weeks. I've noticed the drops in blood sugar seems less. My snacks now consist of nuts and cheese sticks or fruit. I'll try anything to keep that horrible feeling at bay. Hope if I keep doing this I never feel it again!
