Hit the wrong key....

Regarding the tests to get for your hormones, I would suggest estrogen, testosterone (both free and total), and progesterone in both the follicular (day 1-3 of your cycle) and the luteal (day 19-21) phases of your cycle if you are still having one. Also some doctors test the different estrogens estradiol, estriol, and estrone. Also you my want to get your thyroid tested, TSH, Free T3, Free T4, and thyroid antibodies. Also Vitamin D and Iron levels (Ferritin) are important as well. It appears that many of us in peri or meno are deficient in these as well.

Regarding the Sepia, I'm not sure what the ingredients are because I couldn't find anything that listed them. Regarding Menoherb that has phytoestrogens in it, just be careful because those are estrogens and you should be monitored when taking estrogens. Regarding the valerian root, there are many women who take it for sleep. For some it takes longer to work than others.

I would suggest talking to your doctor about these products since you have a recent appointment, doing your own research, and then making an informed decision for yourself. Ultimately, you have to do what makes you feel better until you can find out what your actual hormone numbers are and decide what your next step will be.

Please know that everyone is here for you and we wish you all the best on your journey!

Peace and Blessings!
