Hello,

I just found this forum, and so glad I did. The only thing is, I went to chat and no one was there huh.gif
I'm 45, had my uterus removed May 31 2008(multiple fibroids). It seems all hell is begining to break loose NOW! I found this because of searching menopause/nausea. I just read somewhere tonight that too much estrogen or progesterone may cause nausea. I think that may be my case. I've been using bioidentical progesterone on and off since March 2007 (I think 2007). Well, I decide to start again and I have been putting some on in the evening before bedtime and as soon as I arise in the morning. It's been just over a week since I've been doubling up on the progesterone......and I've had upset stomach 3 times this past week!!! I'm thinking it's probably the progesterone. Or, could be MENOPAUSE. dunno! Today I contacted the naturalpath that I had started seeing back in March of '07, requested she send me a saliva test for my hormone levels. I've not had my hormones tested since I had my uterus removed. I've also been experiencing a little insomnia these last few weeks. FATIGUED, that's me in a nutshell! I'm almost positive tho my overgrowth of candidia albicans is mostly responsible for the fatigue. I kept my cervix, therefore I do have a mini period once a month, most months. When that time comes around, I'm such a mental mess. I do not like my husband, everything he does just aggrivates me. I cry so easily. My breasts get sore. The YEAST BEAST rares it's head. I wake up exhausted, that ***** when you have to work. I crave those sugars I'm not supposed to have due to candidia albicans. I refer to my time of the month as "the bit..", she always shows up and demand I have a bag of peanut M&M's and a coke! AND SHE USUALLY GETS HER WAY!!!!! Well, not m&ms and coke lately due to I've really been trying to lay off of SUGAR since my body is infested/infected with soooo much YEAST. It's amazing how many symtoms imbalanced hormones can cause. I haven't had the heart palpitations, yet, I say yet, cause my mom and sister has experienced 'em. Well, it's getting late, I think I'll go lay this fatigued body down.

Thank you all for sharing your experiences. I've only read a little, but intend on coming back and reading more.
and, I'm hoping to chat with you all!

Health & Happiness to you all!

Gail,
Welcome to PS. You will get lots of help and support here.

The progesterone is most likely the cause of all your symptoms. It slows down the whole digestive tract, causing nausea and constipation. It's the pregnancy hormone, and these symptoms are also experienced during pregnancy, including sore breasts (my first clue I was pregnant) P also is known to cause yeast overgrowth. And it increases blood sugar, causes fatigue, and insomnia. I also had heart palps which went away with using estrogen.

My friend who had a total hyst was never told she might need hormones and a year later she suddenly turned into a mess from lack of estrogen. I told her to ask her doc for a bioidentical form, the Vivelle Dot, and within a couple days of using it she felt so much better.

So I would advise you to stop all P and try to get your doc to Rx Vivelle Dot, Estrogel, or Divigel. These are used transdermally and are also bioidentical, so carry less risk than the oral, non-bio route.

Hi Gail and welcome!

I too go the 'au-naturale' route...I would talk to your naturopath again and discuss alternatives to see what is the problem.

i have been trying to fighure all this c*#p out the last 3 + years...now I am post menopause (I am 49) some things are abating, but some things still remain...poor sleep is one of them and it does s*#k!

You will find loads of info here, so keep us company often!
