i made an appointment with a gyn suggested to me by someone who had worked with the doctor years ago in the operatin room. my FSH was elevated, and i'd taken provera prescribed by a GP prior to meeting my new gyn. the provera did not induce a cycle.

the gyn ordered all new labs, and i had them drawn on that very same day, along with a trans-vaginal-ultra-sound TVUS. i returned in one week, which was yesterday, for the results.

my FSH was 118.58- quite high. apparently, i'd skated through peri, meno, and was post. the TVUS revealed a thicker than he liked lining of 7.3mm. and a hyperechoic focus. i'm not sure if the biopsy from 2003 caused the that to happen, because a lot of reading certainly points in that direction.

in july, i'm having a second TVUS to see if the lining thinned out from not having cycles. i just stopped having periods in november of 2008. four months ago.

anyway, this doctor is of a conservative mind-set. as am i, so that's a beautiful arrangement! he's gentle, on the cutting-edge with knowledge, and the staff is awesome. they are so patient with me, and i'm on the autism spectrum.

Dear easypause
Am so glad that you have found a Gyno. that is willing to listen and understand.
I am also lucky in this respect. The Gyno. who sees me is patient and very thorough.Although he is not amused that I have opted to stay on HRT for so long but he does respect my decision

Amazing!I do volunteer work with children on the Autism Spectrum.Ages ranging from age three up to eighteen
Is there anything you would like me to know about people on this Spectrum.I ask because I am a novice.I was a regular Teacher before.Have noticed that some children seem to be o.k. with hugs, others prefer to pat my hand or face quietly.
Any information would be wonderful!

Thank You and continued Good Luck
God Bless,my dear
Elizabeth
