good morning ladies;

i am wondering if this tingling in my foot could be hormonal or maybe something else?
it feels like when novocane is wearing off after going to the dentist. strong tingling sensation that shoots up to my calf. i only feel this when i walk not laying down, and i should say that i do have 2 herniated discs and 2 bulging discs on the right side of my back, could this be the cause or are any of you ladies experiencing this same feeling?

thanks for any comments

I get tingling and numbness in my foot which from time to time extends up my leg. So far as I know it's a Morton's neuroma - not a serious condition. Having had it for two years though, I am now being referred to a foot specialist to discuss the options. Apart from numbness and tingling being disconcerting, it doesn't cause me any pain to speak of or discomfort and doesn't inhibit walking. I just thought it was about time to get it looked at and sorted out.

HI,
It sounds to me, like the herniated disks are causing your problems. Maybe you could google herniated discs and see what it says about them. That is an annoying feeling though, so I hope you get relief soon.

Shirley, yes..the answer is yes to the herniated discs and bulging discs causing the tingling in your foot and calf. This is not a good thing. The nerve is being grated upon...and eventually unless you get the pressure off the nerve...it will cause permanent nerve damage. I sincerely hope your orthopedist or neurosurgeon or chiropractor...whichever or one or combination you are using is aware of this.
