Hi,
I'm starting to pass clots now, need reassurance. I have some questions for those of you who went through this....
I had a regular period about 17or so days ago, stopped bleeding as usaual on day 5, started again I guess around day 10 or so, started out spotting, then progressed to lite period, then seemed like it was going to stop, now passing clots.
Is this first episode the longest period ?
Or will I have more lengthy ones?

If it were not for this board, I'd be frantic. because of all of you I know what to expect. I really appreciate all your help.

Hi, all I can tell you is what happened to me...had the period that would never end. Started on New Years and I finally stopped this past Sunday (over 2 months). I kind of went through a regular period, slowed a little, had another period, slowed a little. THEN, the clots and gushing started the last week or so of this series. I have never had clots like this! I think the constant bleeding is what is so nerve wracking. It just doesn't seem normal to bleed so much but, it did end. I'm just bracing for the next round but I am a little bit wiser now. Hang in there and keep talking.

The clots are scary i think.....i know this is gross but i have found that if i douche(i use plain water) and get the clots out,the bleeding slows down.

This is exactly what happened to me.
My 3 month long period was like 3 periods strung together with spotting.
I also passed huge clots with heaving bleeding.
As I said on the other thread, this was the end of periods for me except for a little spotting and a very light period.
I did go to my gyn at the time and had a transvaginal ultrasound which showed nothing unusual.
I know how unnerving all of this can be. It was this very problem that first brought me to PS.
Try not to worry and check with your doctor to put your mind at ease.

I was wondering if someone could reassure me. My periods have been getting further apart but this last month i got one after 21 days and another one 17 days later. it is the first time this pattern happened has happened to me. Is this normal? can anyone relate? I am a little worried. Thank you
