That is encouraging news. A national screening programme that picks up nearly all cases of ovarian cancer at the pre-symptomatic stage sounds wonderful.

I'm not sure what is different about this -- the CA125 blood test and ultrasounds have been standard, with lots of controversy around whether the CA125 really is an accurate marker because it gives so many false positives. So is the difference just the idea of giving the CA125 and ultrasounds on a more routine basis -- the way paps are? Or are they saying they have a new and better CA125 test.
