Full Version: up and to the bathroom

I have always been a person who never slept through the night. Even as a kid. I would get up to go to the bathroom at least twice a night. Now, though, it is so bad. Most nights it's three or four times, but last night, all night long. At 6 or so I had a large glass of water and then around 7 a cup of tea, and I got up and went all night. No, there is no pain, it is clear, but annoying. I know how a uti feels, been there before. I guess the extra water did me in, as I always have the tea around 6-7. It is so frustrating.

Does anyone else experience this? I am not scared, but annoyed. I am due for my yearly gyn in 3 months, if this continues, I guess a trip to the reg. doctor is in order. I wont' give into meds for this, so if you have any suggestions, I would appreciate them.

Also, I tend to be a big worrier, so try to keep this in mind. I also have ALWAYS been this way, but it's more frequent now.

Thanks for listening.

Enough...........I do the same thing.......I get up at least 2 to 3 times a night........I think this is just a normal thing for us.........and I have read to try and drink very little after 6p..........and I know if I drank tea at 7p I would be up even more since tea makes me have to go even more.........so dont worry about this because it is very normal at this time in our lives............Valerie

Thanks Valerie, I am going to drink lots of fluids today, not tonight and try to see if I can flush out anything if it's there. Of course, I just exercised and drank alot, but that's a good thing.

Have a nice day, I appreciate your reply.

I think this symptom goes along with changing hormones. Strangely enough, I find the problem is less noticeable if I don't get dehydrated during the day. So I try to remember to drink lots of water but well before bedtime.

I would certainly omit the after 5 P.M. liquids and void well prior to bedtime. That has to help and give you a few good hours of continuous sleep...

I'm just the opposite...I hold it all night and my doc yells at me....I think I have a cast iron bladder! rolleyes.gif
