Well girls I woke up this morning with a red rashy/bumpy area on my chest. It itches and burns somewhat. It just came out of nowhere. I started saturday and then this. Is there anything I can do for this and how long will it last?

This could be from anything, allergies, dry skin, exposure to a chemical etc. I would say if it isn't gone by the morning you need to see the doctor.

It could be eczema which is triggered by stress. I first got it when I turned 35 and it is part of perimenopause. I'd see the doctor but in the meantime, try some petroleum jelly to sooth the itch and burn.

A few years ago I had started with a rash on my thigh it drove me crazy, at the time I thought is was because of stress, I was under alot at that time due to taking care of my Mom. It had gotten so bad that my husband stopped at the pharmacy one day and explained to them what I had, they told him to buy lotromin (dont think I spelled that right,) it is the cream they use for athletes foot, I know it sounds crazy, but at this point I had to try something. He explained to my husband it could be a fungal infection. I which I believe Eczema is. At this point I would try anything to get relief from the itching so I did and I will be damned it worked! It took away the itch almost imediately, and with in a few days the rash deminished. However it does still come back once in a while, but I have a tube handy for when it does. Just that I would share that in case you would like to try it.

I am just amazed at how much this perimenopause effects all these different parts of our bodies, I had no clue. mellow.gif

Oh I think I love you!!!! Thanks so much for sharing. I will definitely be getting some. I know what you mean about all of the symtoms. So far the one that gets me the most is the crashing fatique and the internal shaking. Have a great evening!!!!

I apply Kenacomb cream which is a topical corticosteroids. It's applied on the affected area and relieves it immediately. The redness subsides in a day or two. Ask your dr for a prescription.

Dear 'wvpumpkin'
These itchies, rsahes and assorted skin irritations are the pits but also believe they may be hormonal.I have used Lamisil for various rashes on my body.It works,is cheap and can be got over the counter.

However,if after about a there is no improvement do see a skin Doctor.Bathe in warm water and use an unscented soap or baby soap.

Hope you get relief soon

Best Wishes
Elizabeth
