I know the feeling, I also keep reminding myself that it can take up to two months to get it just right. Be patient and I hope this works for you so far so good for me!

Well I am on week three now and the first night I slept well and have since then. I did however suffer with some headaches for about a week and lethargy. The last four days have been good though, hoping this keeps up. Stay positive and work closely with your Doc/pharmacy.

You will begin to feel better. Today is the 3rd day for me on a combination cream of estriol, estradiol, progesterone and testosterone and I'm feeling wonderful. The anxiety is gone and the energy levels are high again. Give it time and you will feel results. Are you on anything else besides the progesterone?

Amber, It took me a little time but it has helped me tremendously. I had to increase my doses after a few months.
It has saved my entire well being. I know you are going to get better.

So how did they know what combi to give you? Were you still having periods?

I used it as soon as I got it, and then I used it at night time. The Dr. and Pharm came up with 60mg, I cut the dose in 1/2 to 30 and use twice daily. I shouldn't notice a difference for awhile tho right?I woke up with anxiety again today. I was in a super mood this morning & then something happend & I went down hill again?UGH.

Did you sleep okay on it? I did have some anxiety the first couple of days along with headaches that subsided in the second week.

I rotate on different days between applying it to upper arms, lower arms, lower legs and feet, upper legs and knees, and chest. I haven't tried abdomen. If I could reach my back I'd put it there as well!

You no I did sleep pretty good. I had 2 dreams thru the night tho. One was a nightmare & I couldn't wake up from it?When I woke up (not to be gross HAHAHA, but?) I had slobber all over my mouth and my pillow it was crazy!!I had to change my pillow case

After I woke up, I went right back to sleep and started another dream?I haven't had a dream in forever. But, over all, I have been sleeping pretty good.
Are you sleeping ok while on the progesterone?

I take mine about an hour before I plan on going to bed and yes I sleep wonderfully without waking up at all. I was at the stage I couldn't get to sleep or stay asleep and would then be in bed until 9 am. Now I am up with the hubby and kids around 7 am and feel energetic. I have also started the south beach diet and cut out the carbs. The way my Doctor described it is that we take in so many carbs and with our hormone problems we have the insulin storage issues going on so all day long we eat these carbs and have these highs and lows which do not help at all with the hormone issues or insulin issues. I am on day four of the diet and not sure if it is a combination of the bhrt and the diet or one or the other by itself...think it is both. I used to nap every day for 30 minutes to an hour and haven't done that in a week and a half : D woo hoo! Plus I read that P can cause weight gain and I already have enough fat on my body so gonna stop that before it gets worse lol.

I tried the low carb diet before, only a short time tho. I could NOT do it?I like to eat fruits and things. You are WAY awesome for being able to do that diet!!I am wanting to get back to my weight watcher way of eating. Do you have the south beach diet book??Do you have to eat alot of meat?Or am I thinking of another diet??How many carbs a day are you allowed?I started back to the gym today, I'm hoping this will help improve my mood as well!
Also, on the progesterone. How many mg's are you on?Why do you think they tell me to split my dose up for twice a day?

From what I understand the SB diet has changed a lot. I dunno because this is the first time I have tried it. No I didn't buy the book I am using the website. The first two weeks is what they call phase 1, during that time you have no carbs and no fruit, you have 2 ounces of protein, and 1/2 cup of veggies for breakfast, you have a 1 oz protein (I do a cheese stick) along with a veggie for a snack, lunch is 3 ounces of protein, 2 cups of vegetables, then another snack and then repeat the same amount as lunch for dinner too. You can also have a 1/2 cup of dairy, a nut serving and up to 100 calories for a sweet treat so long as it is carb and sugar free. The second phase you introduce good carbs and fruits back in starting out with one a day building up to three, I think the protein decreases a bit. You don't actually count carbs at all you just eat the recommended good carbs after the first two weeks. So for dinner after the second week you could have whole wheat pasta with a meat sauce (no sugar in the sauce) along with a big fat salad.
I am finding it easier than WW, no points to keep up with and you are mainly eating fresh things so no reading packages all the time to see how much fat and calories.
It really isn't a lot of meat, a 3 oz portion is about the size of a deck of cards. Instead of meat though you can have cheese or eggs! I think for me it is teaching me a new way to think when preparing meals. I had already cut out the fatty and sugary stuff, now I am learning which is good carbs and which aren't.
Tonight we had spinach stuffed mushrooms with a salad. I sauteed the mushroom caps in a small amount of olive oil and coated them with some I can't believe it's not butter. I tossed the spinach in the other side of the skillet with the chopped stems of the mushrooms, some garlic and onion put in some salt, pepper and blackened spices for some kick then coated them with skim mozzarella when done. I added crumbled turkey bacon, hard boiled egg and some more cheese on the salad to get my protein in along with low fat balsamic dressing. My husband raved about the meal. It looked and tasted like a gourmet meal and only took 15 minutes prep time.
