I'll keep this short. I am trying to find out what is going on with my body. I have ruled out major illnesses with doctors. This is either hormonal or psychological. I am only 34 but I have had cysts on my ovaries before. Anyway, I am lightheaded and scaey all the time for two weeks straight after bad period. My periods are pretty costistant and noraml most of the time. Could this be perimenopause at my age? I will see my obgyn soon.
Thanks

Hi!Are you having any other symptoms of menopause?Did you read the list that is here?It would be in your best interest to get your hormone levels checked. If you think it maybe the issue, then I say get them checked to see what is going on in that area!!

I am 31, had a hysterectomy at 28, still have an ovary tho. I no my case is much different from you. I am waiting on lab work to see if I am truely in menopause.

Good luck to you,
Amber

Dear'hopeseed'
It could well be early Menopause.I was fully Menopausal at 39.

However, nothing will be entirely clear till you have all the appropriate tests carried out.Don't forget to write down all your symptoms before you go so you don't miss anything. It is worth having thyroid levels checked out too as this gland is pretty notorious in some of the symptoms it produces.
Please keep us posted and I wish you well

My peri started at 29,I am now 32,almost 33 and on a low dose bcp. They help a lot but I still have some symptoms.I suggest making a chart of your symptoms and when you have them. After a few months compare and you should see if they are related to your cycle.GOD-bless

Hopeseed, it is hormonal. Please see a doctor and get your hormone levels tested in both phases of your cycle, the follicular and the luteal phases so that you know how to proceed. The dizziness is from your progesterone levels being much higher than your estrogen levels. Charting your symptoms, as others have suggested is important! Since you have had the cysts on your ovaries, are you having any other symptoms? It could possibly be PCOS and your obgyn needs to rule that out... Because you are so young, they generally try to use BCP's to regulate.

Best Wishes...
