It can be taken but.. the FSH is the follicle stimulating hormone.. as long as you are having your menses then one can presume you are still producing eggs therefore it's not that helpful. Most doctors take it though if you are showing symtoms of menopause or at least three of the ones I saw in a 10 year period did.
Did he take your levels of Estrogen, Progesterone and Testosterone? These are more valuable.
I just got my estrogen and testosterone checked- they said progesterone was not necessary and I had to fight them to get the estrogen..i am waiting for the results, but am also thinking that maybe i need a new dr- i have been with my dr for 15 years, she delivered both my boys, but lately it seems the more i need, the harder it is to get in touch with them and the staff when I call are annoying...
