Hi Ladies...Happy Almost Spring!

Well here goes another concern, the fatigue. I know crashing fatigue can be a symptom of peri, but honestly, lately I feel as though I could sleep all day and I mean it. Once I get the kids off to school, I feel like I could sleep until 4 pm when they return. I don't have any motivation to do a thing. Now, I will admit that my sleeping at night has been awful, maybe that's why I'm so tired during the day. But even after I get 8 hours of sleep, I still feel sluggish and tired. Anyone else have this? I am once again worried.

Thank you,
Tracey

I am feeling the same way. This is horrible. I usually have energy in overdrive. Everyone always comment on that I do everything in a fast manner. Not now that is for sure. I just don't know what to do.

You girls need a thorough thyroid screening.

I know exactly how you feel, unfortunately.

Today I had a pretty darned good day, feeling almost normal, other than the headaches. I became tired toward the late afternoon, but it was a normal tired feeling.

That other tired feeling I've been feeling alot of lately is completely different. It's a complete lack of energy, tired. A tired where I feel like I've been run over by a Mack truck. Rolling over while laying down is such an effort and the foggy, impaired feeling on top of it makes it the worst.

I hope you feel better soon.

Hi I am new to this board but the fatigue is one topic that caught my attention. Among many more topics. It has been so bad the last month that I was in bed by 7:00 and sometimes even earlier, making dinner has been a real chore I have been pushing myself so hard to keep going. I have even taken time off of work because I just have no energy. I have always had a problem that a couple days before my period I get this big boost of energy then all of a sudden it dies the day before my period and I am so tired. But now I am tired all the time no boosts have been coming my way these days. I can totally understand the Mack truck feeling. I keep looking for Spring in hopes that I will find that boost there.

Hi Tracey,
It makes me want to cry....I seem to only have about 6 or 7 days in the month when I have energy. The hours before my period starts till it ends (about 3 -4 days and the first 2 or 3 days after my period then the fatigue kicks in AGAIN. I got my period 1 week ago and already by yesterday I started with the tiredness. It is to a point that it is really depressing me. I too, would love nothing more than to go back to bed right now. I feel bad for my Girls. I warn them when I am having a *day* but still...
I know that my body tries to ovulate already at this time in my cycle, maybe the hormone battle is just to much. I will feel better agin in a day or two but not as good as when I have my period. I'll be 47 this year and know that my FSH 2 years ago showed peri. I feel rather shakey today as well and just not rested in my head. Nervous-like.
Nortmally I would grab my neighbour and go for a *doggy-walk* but it is raining and grey and I can't muster up the motivation. The fresh airt and long walk do me more good than my dog.
I hate this cycle, I was o.k. for a few months but symptoms have seem to come back. Maybe in a month or two I will settle down and have another 3-4 month stretch of good days. Who knows.
Hugs to you!!!!!!

I also suffer with the crashing fatigue as well and my thyroid is fine to boot. I have more tired days than not so I make sure to cram in as much as I can on my decent days! Some days it takes all my effort just to sit and stay awake. My mind kind of goes blank and I seems to my family to be "somewhere else". Not true, I'm still here but I feel "drugged" like I've taken way to many sleeping pills yet I don't use them!
