I only have full on night sweats at the time of my ovulation (if I have one) and again before my period is due. I will wake up suddenly just wet as can be.
Other times I get "heat surges". I will be fine all night long until I wake up to use the bathroom. It's always after 4 am but before I wake up for the day. I'll be fine until I get back in bed and start to relax and bam....I get hot like someone just opened the oven. If I don't toss the covers off right away, I sweat otherwise I can head it off. About 20 mins later, I'm fine again (and cold). This happens if I get up at 7 and go back to bed (weekends). So any movement sets this off. Then once I am up for the day and start moving around, I get it again. I'm in the shower, get out and I'm hot--just so HOT

and have to open the window when it's only 35-40 outside. That's fine if I remember to close it again...poor hubby. BUT...I go out and get breakfast etc and I'm hot the whole time. An hour later, I'm fine.
I shudder to think what will happen to me if we move the Vegas area with hubby's work.......I'll be a liquid puddle on the ground.
Anyone else have these surges??

Yes I did have these surges when I was Menopausal but they only stopped when I went on HRT.I have read that Primrose Oil is supposed to help. Also cut down on caffeine and sugary foods.
Don't want you to be a puddle!Have you had your Hormone and Thyroid levels tested? There are many medications, herbal or otherwise that might be worth considering.
I live in The Middle East and if I had kept on surging would have also melted away!
All the Best
