hi ladies;
this is my 3rd time this morning trying to post this, it may turn up elsewhere, probably a brain fog thing happening wink.gif anyway, yesterday after my lunch period, i started having a weird sensation. i was typing at work, and all of a sudden, i felt faint, like i was gonna keel over then my legs and hands started shaking but not visible, i got warm from my forehead to my upper chest area and stinging in upper back. my boss took me to my doctor who is 3 blocks from my job. she ran blood test thinking maybe my anemia is getting worse. my question is could this be some form of hot flash? it didnt last too long, but it was scary! thanks ladies and hope you all are feeling ok as well as can be expected with peri

Have you ever experienced an anxiety attack? If it wasn't a hot flash then it might be that. Mine start out just that way. Did you have any heart palps with it?

hi. i was just coming back from my lunch break when it happened. i didn't have any heart palps, it just came on suddenly. enough to scare my boss and me too i might add. but i do get anxiety attacks that seem to only happen at night. the doctor did say it could have been a hot flash. who knows. i just hope that if it happens again, i'll be better prepared for it lol

Shirley, I get the same symptoms. It can be very uncomfortable, but not serious. I admire how quickly you got to the doctor to check things out. We all need to take good care of ourselves, especially during this challenging time!

Please keep us informed. smile.gif

Warmest wishes,

Sounds like a mild anxiety attack to me coupled with a short hot flash.Very typical of Menopausal symptoms but neverthless un-nerving.
You are blessed to have such an understanding boss.

Please let us know how your Test results turn out as anaemia can leave you feeling faint too

All the Best

Savannah, I agree with the other posters...just want you to know you're in my thoughts & prayers. I've been through the "waiting game" myself after having blood work done, and I know how hard it is. Hang in there.

Hi Savannah61,
I get this quite often in batches... it's most unnerving when it happens, no one can see how bad you're feeling on the inside until the whole sensation passes. My doctor just said is was 'anxiety' but I don't think it is. It's just the menopause and it will go away eventually. Although quite how long that will be is unknown as I've been having various symptoms for 8 years now! Good luck with you're blood tests, I'm sure they'll prove to show very little except lack of hormones. Have a good day everyone. Sally X

HI Savannah I was reading your post and let me tell you, the same was happening to me after eating, so, now I'm careful of what I put in my mouth. And your happened after eating your lunch, that could be some kind of allergy caused by the food you eat that day. I also remember feeling brain foggy and red patches in my neck and face together with a severe fatigue, with the feeling of passing out. Very scary.

No one ever prepares Women for the reality of hot flashes. We grow up seeing women fanning themselves.
Hot flashes are so much more! No one prepares us or tells up how scary they can be too.

It sounds to me like a hot flash. They are scary and uncomfortable and you might of felt like you were dying. I have run to the dr too only to find out that I was ok.

Hang in there. You are no alone
