Just wondered if anyone on here was on the Nutri System plan and how it is working for you. I am officially in Menopause, it was one year without a period in January. I have not been on here for awhile, but I still have some symptoms, although I have improved. My main symptom right now is extreme fatique and hot flashes at night. Actually I am warm almost all of the time. Anyways, I decided about a month ago to give Nutrisystem a try, since I was having problems shedding this weight that we all gain in this time of our lives.

I've lost 7 lbs. so far. But it is very very slow going. Even with following the plan exactly, still slow. I'm going to attempt to add some cardio on Monday to all of this and see if that speeds it up. But as you know, that can be extremely hard when I am so darn tired all of the time. Love to know your thoughts on this.

Hi Lisa, I tried Nutrisystem a couple of times and it did nothing for me -- the last time I tried was last year and I couldn't even eat the food, it just tasted so bad to me......and it was expensive! Good luck with your weight loss!

I agree with 2sons. That food is horrible. The only good thing was the brownies. I guess it's hard to make a bad brownie! tongue.gif

I don't know what they put in their prepared "foods", but when I tried it a few years back I would break out into hives and sometimes get headaches. Oh...and I never lost an ounce.

You're better off following South Beach, Atkins or The Carbo Addicts Diet. At least you're eating real food! Just my opinion of course. You have to find a plan that works for you.

For me, low carb is the only way. Otherwise my hypoglycemia gets worse (And peri meno is doing enough to mess that up!)

I also tried it a couple of times, and it did work for me AS LONG AS I ate their food. When I tried to go back to incorporating non-NS foods, I gained. I think you can lose on NS, but they don't really have a strong program for helping you maintain. Of course, they don't make any money if you maintain! LOL!

Just adding my two cents here... like punkin said, you can lose weight on NS and those other prepared foods programs. The problem starts when you start trying to eat normal foods...many people I know gain the weight right back. IMO, the only successful weight loss has to incorporate eating healthy, normal foods...so you can go to a restaurant, a friend's house, ....basically live your life. Once you stop eating these "packaged" foods...the weight comes back on. The best way to do it is to eat a healthy, balanced diets, watching calories carefully...and incorporating exercise. At least that is what is working for me and many others I know!
