Yes, the dr. said to leave the brain aneurysm alone. It's in a place called the petrous apex (middle ear area) and it surrounded by bone. He told her it's like a basement with pipes. If a pipe bursts the whole house wouldn't get flooded, or something like that. The actual headache she went to the dr. for in the first place, the stabbing pain she is feeling, is not from the aneurysm and he doesn't know what that's from. So, she's leaving it alone.

Thank you for all your prayers.

Hugs,
Karen

Hi karen,

So there's nothing they can do? Poor thing. I hope her headaches do subside. I guess the best you can do is continue to be there for her. Has she thought about getting a second opinion?

God Bless

Tara,

Thanks for responding. I believe she said if he did anything invasive she had a 1 in 5 chance of having a stroke. Nothing might ever happen with this thing and he wasn't overly concerned. He is top notch in his field too. I asked her if she was getting a second opinion and she is not at this time. She was really relieved about it all.

Hugs,
Karen

I'm glad she's relieved Karen. Can't be too much fun walking around knowing you have an aneurysm in your brain though. My heart goes out to her.

My continued prayers....

Well, I hope they are monitoring her, Karen - I'm sure they will. Thanks for the update and I hope you're doing better smile.gif

I'll keep her in my prayers.

I guess the risk of surgery outweighs the benefits.

Lots of Vitamin C to keep those blood vessels strong.

Karen,

That's too bad that nothing can be done. My cousin is only 28 and she found out that she has an inoperable blood clot(she was born with bone that fused together at the shoulder and the clot is nestled in there)she will probably be on blood thinners for the rest of her life. She can't run or lift her arms over her head. She may not be able to carry her own children. Your husband's ex wife may have initial anxiety as did my cousin but hopefully she will be able to enjoy life again. I think it's super that you care so much about her as some second wives can't say the same. I hope everything works out for her.

Keep smiling biggrin.gif

I hope and pray she can get help for the pain - whatever is causing it!
