Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help me with my test results, please? I dont understand them at all and the layout is weird. I had the tests on around day 21 of my cycle although up to that time I did have some spotting... I am taking bio-identical progesterone cream - 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off...

Here are my results --

PROGESTERONE PHASE UNKNOWN

Luteal phase: unsupplemented --- Typical between 100-400 --( levels 174.9) pg/ml

Post Menopause unsupplemented - Elevated > 70 ( levels 174.9) pg/ml

Oral Supplemented - Typical 100-600 (levels 174.9) pg/ml

Cream/Gel supplemented ---- low <500 (levels 174.9) pg/ml

OESTRADIOL PHASE UNKNOWNp

Luteal phase Typical 4.0 - 7.0 (levels 4.3) pg/ml

Post Menopause >4.0 (levels 4.3) pg/ml

PROGESTERONE/OESTROGEN BALANCE Typical 10.0-100 (levels 40.7) pg/ml

--------------------------------

My doctor said that the oestrogen/progesterone ratio is within normal limits and that these results are much what one would expect if menstruating....

If this is true, then why do I feel so crappy???

I dont understand any of this - can anyone else?

thanks.

I wish I could help but I'm afraid the more I learn the more confused I get.

Day 21 sounds as though you are in the lutereal phase though and I've read where Progesteone rises along with oestrogen but that progesterone will be about twice as high during this phase so.. maybe your estrogen is low but rememer Testosterone is also important. It will give you energy, drive and passion.. What are your symptoms?

Are you taking a prescription strength compounded progesterone Your progesterone level seems low if you're on progesterone. Also, your estradiol level is in bottom of normal range - based on your symptoms, I think you are deficient mildly in both.

Hi Pete,

Each measure supplies 20mg of natural progesterone. It's a high potency 3% cream. I am taking 10mg a day split into two doses.

Why would I be feeling so awful if I'm only mildy deficient in both?

Thanks for your help, Pete... Thank goodness for YOU!

Thanks for your reply too ... and you're right, it is confusing.

My symptoms are fatigue, anxiety and just an unwell feeling....
