Hey Guys:

I have heard that olive oil is excellent as a once a month treatment for hair - has anyone had experience with this - and do you put it on dry or wet hair -

lara - my mom used to do that way back in the day laugh.gif she would put it on her wet hair and wrap a towel around it for 15 minutes or so and then wash her hair in the sink (remember that!?) - I never tried it but she swore by it!

I never heard of olive oil, but I have heard of using mayonnaise. I think you use it in the same way you would use a conditioner--after shampooing.

Years ago we used to use egg shampoo and it really left your hair shiny, soft and manageable. I'm sure they don't make it anymore. mellow.gif

My girlfriend does this once a month! She covers her DRY hair in olive oil, wraps cellophane around it, and just putters around her house for a couple of hours, then washes it out. She swears by it... frankly, I've seen her the day before and the day after and notice nothing different, except I get a craving for pasta laugh.gif biggrin.gif

Seriously... I can't see a difference, but she says she FEELS a difference. I've been thinking of trying it myself. If you do it come back and let us know how it worked!! I'll do the same if I try it.
