Thank you all so very much. She was just here and I gave her a hug and told her I didn't know what else to do. I told her if she needed my husband to accompany her to the doctors or anything to please feel free to ask. Or if I can help in any way to just let me know. I am trying to find other doctors for her as well. Luckily she works in a place where one of the head people is on the board at Columbia and hopefully his assistant is calling tomorrow to see about moving her appt. up sooner.
Please keep the prayers going. I'll keep you posted.

Kar,
You are very kind, not everyone would treat an "exwife" so well. I hope your step children are doing ok through this, it must be very frightening for them. I will keep you all in my thoughts and send out healing vibes!!
Take care and big HUGS

Thank you everyone. The children haven't been told yet. She asked me what I would do and I told her I would tell them, especially if something happens to her...they should know what could happen.
Please continue your prayers...
Hugs to all,
Karen

Keeping your family in my prayers. I agree, I would tell the kids what is going. It depends on their ages how detailed you need to get.
My grandmother had a brain aneurism when she was in her sixties. They fixed it and she just celebrated her 85th birthday.

Thanks you guys. The latest is she is trying to get the appt. at Columbia in NYC sooner. The top guy where she works has place a call and is waiting to hear back. In the meantime, her benefits coordinator is working with Insurance company to get her a Case Manager to help her find the most excellent dr. there is in her plan.
Please keep praying.
Hugs,
Karen

Well, the kids mom got her appt. moved up to 2/24. She could have gone next week but dr. is on call the day they could fit her in and told her that she could be waiting all day if he had an emergency so she chose the definite appointment. Keep praying for her.
Hugs,
Karen

Karen: I'm just shocked she has to wait 10 days to get seen. Unbelievable. I will keep her (and everyone else, of course, especially her kids) in my prayers. God Bless.
