My knees crack every time I bend them and that didn't used to be a problem but now they don't seem to support me well. When I try and rise up from the toilet to stand my knees feel like they're going to give. The right one is always sore and the left elbow has been sore for a week. I shouldn't have peeled potatoes last night.

I started the Prempro weeks ago but other than putting on a bit of weight, I don't know that it's helping that much. Has not been that long, though.

How annoying. My knees crack like crazy all the time. I have osteoarthritis in both knees and now my jaw on both sides. The knee does get sore as well. I went ot a physical therapist who gave me exercises to do and they helped a lot. I can't help with the elbow, but it seems damp weather gets my bones and joints aching and in the northeast it feels quite damp. That may be the same for you. I hear ibuprofen is good, but I try not to use it much. I hope you feel better.

Thanks, enough. I'm sure your weather does have its effect.

I think I will add this joint pain to the list of ailments to bring into the doctor next time. Let's see: headaches, not always migraines, but often enough and they require Maxalt. Knees and elbow still miserable. Feeling of PMS when I know that will never come again. Chelazion in one eye I can't seem to get rid of. Oh, and eyesight that seems to deteriorate by the year/six months despite eating carrots and taking vitamins.

I have to watch my weight now with the Prempro. The doctor told me to lose some last Summer and I did. When my estrogen dropped I almost got too thin. My appetite has increased some and winter is just unrelenting this year. I'm thinking about food a lot more and want bigger portions.

Have you tried glucosamine/chondroitin supplements? I use the Osteo Bi-flex and it has helped tremendously with the joint pain. Also, I have found that when I am going to be on my feet a lot, whether it is just standing or walking at the mall, that I really need to wear supportive shoes. If I don't, then my knees and hips will bother me.
