Full Version: Question for a Professional Shaker

Well, in addition to my mini nervous breakdown in the shower last night from losing my hair I think I had my first internal shake. I wanted to explain it to see if this could be it. I have lurked this board for some time now,, always being thankful this is not one of the symptoms I have experienced..but thinking even if it was, what's the big deal? It's better than a heart palp! biggrin.gif

Anywho- so I am fully asleep...or almost to that point..and I wake up feeling like I have the shivers. Here's the weird thing. The shivers were inside my body (mostly my chest) but there was nothing going on on the outside. It's like a shaking as if I were cold but only on the inside of my body.

My goodness, I really thought this HRT would be helping. Sure, I don't have hot flashes and it helps the heart palps, but next to my hair coming out-good grief.

So is this similar to an internal shake? unsure.gif

I too get the shaking or internal vibrations. ( I also am losing my once thick hair!!) For me, sometimes it hits one part of my body or sometimes it is my whole body, like I am on vibrate. It is kind of scary, but I just wanted to let you know you are not alone.

My internal shakes seem to be worse or more pronounced during ovulation or right before my cycle starts.

I too am sooo thankful for this board, when I first starting getting the "shakes" I thought all these horrible things, and I even had my Gyno tell me to see a Neurologist ( to which I did..nothing was found). But the women on this board helped me so much to ease my fears and to let me fears!

I hope this helps.

Take Care~

I never visibly shook from the outside either. I felt a constant buzz kind of thing through my arms and legs, very uncomfortable especially since I had no idea what the heck was wrong with me. 'Slow mag' helped quite a bit.

Not sure about the chest shivers being internal shakes, as sometimes a hot flash will bring that 'bees in the chest' type feeling.

Your description of your inside shakes sounds just like what I get. So, I would say welcome to the crowd (excepting I know it isn't a place you want to be) I will tell you that you do rather get used to it. In fact, for me anyways, it is one of my least annoying or scary symptoms at this point. I would much rather deal with my insides shaking that with my heart racing, or feeling faint etc...

And I too am losing my hair. It used to be so thick that the hair stylist would have to thin it some to get it to do the right thing, and she would make comments to me about "don't you think you could manage to lose just a little bit of this for me" I used to only be able to wrap a hair band around my pony tail 2 times (with difficulty) Now I am an easy 3 times - going for 4 - SIGH

I have them as well...it feels like I'm having a breakdown to me when I'm having those...

Let me jump in and say I have the internal shakes, vibrations as well. I really notice them at night or while at rest. I also get the tremors or jolts when waking in the AM.. not sure what that is about.

Also to the post above, where can you get the "Slow Mag"?

Thanks.

Slo Mag is available at most drug stores and some grocery stores. I generally buy it at Costco pharmacy or Walmart where it is the cheapest.

I think the shakes with the fast heart rate have been my worst and scariest symptom.

I take slo-Mag daily. I will take Mag-Ox too if that is what is there staring at me at the store. Bot are great.

I highly suggest Natural Calm. it will knock the jitters with a one tow punch quick. it is liquid and gets into you system quick. I get that from the health food store.

I had the jitters yesterday am. MY period is coming and I had a Great cup of coffee. Put me over the edge

I also have my internal shaking either right b4 I fall to sleep or as I am waking..strange...also, my heart is usually going fast at the same time.

I am so glad that I have come to a point in my life where I am not worried about that. When i first started all this meno crap from my endo surgery everything scared me...worse was the heart palps, but .625 of premarin made that go away....too bad Premarin is not a cure all for I am losing my hair, having vibrations all at the same time. I actually do not think the vibrations are scary...they don't hurt, it's just like "what in the world?"!!

I used to be a member long ago, but now that my symptoms have been under control (thanks to bio-identiacal hormone therapy), I stopped visiting and couldn't even remember my username. Anyhow, I am back again (with a new username). UGH!!!!
I just started these horrible internal trembles last week, cannot sleep, and constantly feel like I need food in me, that it is low blood sugar. Doesn't seem to help. I am dizzy and feel tired and useless lately. Normally I am highly active, working out tons, eating right, and just feeling great overall. This new symptom is new to me and I am so thankful to learn that it probably is my hromones acting up again. Time to go and get some blood work done I guess. It is so frustrating to me that I constantly struggle with this!!! Thought it was all under control and now something new again. AAGGHHH!!!!
I want to sleep well, and feel like a million bucks in the morning!!!!

Hi to all, I am from Australia and 41 years of age. Over a couple of months ago after exercise (usually bike riding), I had a strange vibrating sensation deep in my right breast or chest, I wasn't quite sure. It would go away and not come back again for a few weeks. When it did come back I was at rest and not physically exercising. Lately I wake up with it, it goes away before I sleep and when I have a few wines.

LIke alot of you women, I have been to Dr's they have checked heart, breast etc. I do have a history of anxiety and am on Zoloft since my son was born 9 years ago. I find it hard to get my head around this being a physical symptom of anxiety.

thanks for listeninig.
