OK......so yesterday and today and I having the strangest thing happen. With no warning, I have been getting a shooting pain that starts behind my right ear and ends in the right temple. It comes without warning and only last for a second. Almost like a ice pick type feeling. Of course, the hypochondriacs that peri is making us, makes me lay there in fear thinking I am having a stroke. I have missed 2 periods in a row and have alot of other peri issues.
Is this what you guys are calling head zaps?????

Try not to worry. I have been getting the same weird shooting pains in my head since starting peri/meno. Shooting pains in the eyes too. It comes and goes. Had MRI and eye exam about 2 yrs ago when it was really bad and all checked out ok. For the past couple of days I feel a drop in hormones which has brought on migraines, sharp pains and a sore scalp. Hang in there! You are not alone.

Thank you for the response. They are very very scary. I am heading to the chiropractor to see if he can help. This just started yesterday and it makes me feel like something is horribly wrong with me. The pains are not constant but just shoot through every once in awhile but are more frequent now. Maybe because I am getting anxious.
