Today I was trying to explain a "feeling" to my husband. I said, "It's like if you're stoned..." To which he replied, "I've never been stoned. I don't even know what pot smells like." (and really, this is true!) This guy has never smoked weed nor been drunk more than three times in his virtuous 44 years. It's like I happened upon an alien. wink.gif

When our daughter came home smelling of grass? It was I who "clued him in." When our son came home on Ecstasy? Again it was me who suggested a blood test. At this point I'm like..."Hello, get a clue man!" dry.gif

Is it hard to relate to the person you're married to? ohmy.gif

I love my hubby but I'm like, "Geesh man...grag a magazine and get a clue!!" huh.gif

I'm not proud of my totally 'free and Psychedelic past" but dude...catch the train!!

Ooopsy...another reveal of more than anyone wanted to know? Oh well...

I just really wondered if you relate? To ANYONE in this day and a time. huh.gif

I have a similar past, and DH is like yours--got drunk once in his life, never got near pot or anything else. I wish I hadn't made such stupid choices in my past and envy that he does not have the regrets I do.

My husband and I are the opposite. He's the "hard road" kinda guy and I am the "good girl". LOL! I have noticed since I hit meno that he is "less" sensitive towards my issues but it could be because he is overwhelmed with suddenly so MANY of them at once. I am like a walking time bomb waiting to go off! I feel like saying "bite me" and have said much much worse when he turns into the insensetive boob he's become. I think many of our partners are also dealing with their own midlife issues and so I try to be understanding but it's hard when I want to scream "what about me!!!" 20 years I have taken care of EVERYBODY else! Now it's my turn dang it!

Dear Krissy

Am afraid have been a bit of a Saint Theresa !Probably result of Catholic Boarding School.Have never been stoned or drunk so would not know how to even spot the clues.

My son told me he was smoking Weed when he was in the States as a student .He told me it made him very mellow.I know some cancer and Aids patients find that smoking has relieves a lot of thier symptoms.Maybe it would help Menopausal Madness!

All the Best
Elizabeth
