Hey again everybody,
I started the sleep problem topic and now another has cropped up. Any comments are welcome-even obvious ones.
The thing is, I love my coffee-today I did not even fix my usual cup to get me going for tonight and I just barely got through a half a cup a few minutes ago. It's like it has the opposite effect anymore. What is going on?
Here's another wierd question-what if any are the differences in instant coffee vs brewed?
I tell ya, I feel like I wrote about this topic before-if so please excuse the repeat.
I'm simply out of the loop, all loops. I'm in a very raw place nowadays. Like I just need a big slap to bring me back around to my senses. lol

Dear'senecaguns'

Refuse to slap you on the grounds I might be sued. However sudden aversions to foods and drinks is fairly common at this stage.I think it is the body' own way of saying it doesn't want it.

Honestly do not know the differences between the instant or brewed but do find a cup of Herbal Tea soothing.I will have the occassional cup of coffee but am not as interested as when I was younger.

Hope this helps!

I am finding myself on sweets kinda binge lately. Just can not get enough! Now, I'm off to make homemade chocolate chip cookies! Want some?

I used to live on coffee, but gave it up caffeine when I first started having anxiety and panic attacks in peri as a caffeine rush could feel very similar to rising anxiety. Even though I don't suffer anxiety and panic any more, I've never resumed the caffeine habit and now that I don't rely on it, I can take it or leave it. I used to love it and the 'kick' it gave, but now it tastes very ordinary.

Why you'd suddenly change in your enjoyment of it though is more difficult. I know that in pregnancy there were lots of substances I just didn't want any more - alcohol and coffee being two. Then after pregnancy I resumed enjoying them. In pregnancy this is due to hormone changes so I can only imagine that since hormonal changes also take place in peri and menopause, perhaps they're responsible?

It use to be that I loved coffee ANY time of the day! I could even drink a cup and then go to bed and sleep like a baby......... not anymore. It might be that my stomach is more sensitive to the acid. I just know I can't drink it like I use to.

It's weird. I love my instant coffee. Sometimes I'll be at home and buy a special blend of beans and grind them and brew them in a pot and they won't taste as good as my instant... but when I go out to eat, the brewed coffee always taste so good. At first I thought it was my coffee pot so I spent $100. and bought the same pot as my mom's but hers taste good and mine doesn't??? I do still like coffee though.

I still love coffee, but it doesn't love me anymore. Even the Decaf can set up the "urge" to go to the bathroom. dry.gif
I used to love getting my Dunkin' Donuts coffee on the way home from work at night--no more.

thanks for the replies...I am going back to brewed lol lol sorry-that just made laguh. Yall know what I mean. Anyway, I'm using instant coffee now because I let my mom 'borrow' my little 4 cp coffee maker and kept thinking I'll get it back.
I like a good cup of tea, also.
