Can clogged sinuses give the sensation of fluid moving in the top of the head? I know this is a strange question, but I have that feeling in my head for a second or two. I also am quite congested and have really bad tmj. I had an x-ray of the skull two months ago and a two and a half hour visit with a neurodentist who said I didn't have a brain tumor, so I am trying not to think like that. He also did a doppler sonogram of my artieries and they are a little clogged, but nothing to worry about in terms of stroke, etc.

Any help would be appreciated, however, keep in mind I am a worrywart, so please don't scare me.

Thanks

32 views and no replies? Am I that weird?

i have been sneezing the past three days and my throat is now sore today, all day. My cheeks and eyebrows hurt along with the temples, i am sure it's all sinus related, could be a mix of that and tmj. My mom just had a bad sinus infection last week and wound up in the er, her main symptom? Severe pain on the top of her head, She said the crawly, fluid flowing thing was there too.

Thanks

I had a horrible sinus infection a couple of weeks ago. I was very congested and when I could blow something out, it was yellow and bloody. I also had severe head pain, and pain in my face, upper jaw and left ear pain. My doctor said my left sinuses were very inflamed and that was causing all the pain. Once the antibiotic kicked in the pain gradually lessened and went away.
Your symptoms sure sound sinus related. Perhaps you should see your doctor...perhaps you need an antibiotic. In the meantime, take ibuprofin, and use warm compresses to the areas of pain.

Good luck and hope you are feeling better soon,

Don't know if this will help, but I use a humidifier when I feel I'm getting stuffy or sinusey symptoms. And like Di said-some otc anti inflammatory for the pain.
My Mom also suffers from sinus issues and occasionally I do, too. Hope you feel better soon.

Thank you both for your replies. I am sure it's sinuses, I am not worried, I had those tests done a month ago and a brain scan two years ago. The neurodentist said I have arthritis of the jaw too. He said no brain tumor and so did the scan. I guess my mind just wanders. I got up today very stuffed up and just walked my dog for 20 minutes and did heavy exercising for a half hour. I am not giving in. I am getting ready for work shortly.

I appreciate you both responding. I guess nervous when noone answers. Have a great day.

i've been watching your posts on all your sinus issues and want you to know that i'm also suffering (worse than ever before) with the same thing. i read on this site, just last night, that allergies and sinus issues can crop up or seem worse during this time of our lives so my guess is that that's what's happening to us.

one of your other responses mentioned a humidifier - that's what i do and it does seem to help.

other than that, i wish i could offer more suggestions. i mainly wanted to let you know you're not alone in this one, either! many of your posts, i could've written myself!!

hang in there and don't let this stuff get you down, e!!

Thanks gyz, I hope you find some relief too. I realize it's not the end of the world, really minor compared to what many people are going through. I am happy I am not alone, but feel bad anyone else has this too.

I get horrible sinus issues all the time. The pain is unbelievable. I spray Flonase in each nostril each evening before I go to bed. This has seemed to help I also try to have a humidifier going at night as well. I also try to have some tea each day.
One other thing I use is a neti pot. not the greatest looking while using it but it does help.
I had a horrible sinus infection just after the new year and I was in so much pain that I really wished that someone else could have felt how I did. I went on a course of anti biotics and luckily is has cleared.

Well, earlier this week I started with a miserable cold that ended with a sinus infection. Guess it's been lingering for a while. Anyway, I did my antibiotic and yesterday felt better, but today, I am so tired. All week, I was just exhausted with this and thought it was getting better. I got out for a few hours today to go shopping, maybe I am just getting back into being up and about, but it is not making me too happy. I was up coughing all night as well. (could be why I am tired, you think!!!! ) Anyway, anyone else having this and taking a little longer than usual to kick it? The congestion is still here too. It is so annoying.

Thanks for listening.

I am still getting over a terrible bout of sinusitis accompanied with severe laryngitis (I don't get sick often but when I do I make the most of it) and because I can't take antibiotics (allergic reactions to them) I have had to suffer it out only using supplements to be rid of it. I have been left with after effects of the laryngitis in the form of an irritation to my airways causing me to continually have to clear my throat of mucous and other scary things and my doc says it will take another 3 weeks to fully recover, yeehaa. The anxiety has made things worse too I think by giving me a new scary symptom.

Has anyone tried using 'Quercetin' for allergies and sinus related issues etc and has it helped?? I am considering trying this as it seems a safe option for someone so sensitive to meds like myself.
