Hello 4leaf,

Welcome to PS, I am sad to hear about your situation, it does sound scary to be so young and have to deal with having a your ovaries removed, thankfully you already have children.

Try not to worry, many women go thru these things and do just fine, and if you do have problems they have hormones that can help. I think you should discuss this with your doc and make sure that they understand your concerns.

I know many ladies that have had it done, and along with HRT or BHRT they are supplementing the hormones that the ovaries used to make and they are doing good. I wish you all the best, glad that you posted.

Dear Lucy

This is certainly a lot for a young lady to go through Is it not possible just to remove the Cyst and keep ovary intact.I say this as have had several cysts removed on different occassions

This of course will throw you into early Menopause but there is lots of Hormone Supplements ,both synthetic and natural, that you can discuss with Gyno. to help you along this journey

I wish you lots of luck with your surgery
Please keep us posted

Warm Wishes
Elizabeth
