i'm hoping someone will respond. long story short... my periods were coming every 23 days. they began getting extremely heavy and i had a D&C done 10/31/08 and then 15 days later got a heavy period again. had an ablation done 12/26/08 and since then i haven't felt like working (and only went back one week) and i'm very moody. now i'm getting heat going through my body but here's the question.... i thought hot flashes were to make your face red and hot??? mine actually feels cool to the touch when this happens. have you heard of this? i'm 47 years old and i feel like i'm going off the deep end. i had a migrane that ended last week after 8 straight days. had to take a steriod to break the cycle (so my pcp said)... and now i spotted this morning. i don't know what to do with myself.

It sounds like your symptoms are all over the place due to a hormone imbalance. It does not surprise me that the steroid caused you to spot - the steroid altered your hormone levels further. The migraine you experienced is very common with peri-menopause / menopause symptoms where there is an imbalance of progesterone and estrogen.
