I have a nerve just under my lip that has been twitching all morning. It is driving me crazy.

Yesterday my chin was twitching for the entire morning. I was actually looking at it in the mirror. It did go away though. They usually do after a while.

My fingers twitch... then after a day it goes away until the next month. My eye will twitch for a day or two, and yes, I've had my lip twitch as well. It's uncomfortable......but hang in there, it will go away very soon. For me, it's happened so much that it's just annoying to me now.
Such fun, huh? NOT!!

The twitching seems to have finally stopped. My period is due any day now so I'm sure it has something to do with the hormones.

Twitching is due to stress or anxiety, it's a nervous response. It can be subconscious and you may not even be aware of the stress. A dramatic shift in hormone levels, especially an imbalance between progesterone and estrogen will change the body's levels of serotonin and other neurotransmitters, resulting in anxiety. You do not have to wait until you no longer have periods to get your hormones "evened" out. I'd recommend consulting with a hormone specialist - either a compounding pharmacist (a pharmacist at a compounding pharmacy such as Bellevue Pharmacy) who can make recommendations to your doctor, or seek out a doctor who is a hormone specialist.
