Hi Ladies,
I was looking through the posts to see if anyone had this stupid symptom. I get these strange head rushes, mostly on one side of my head that start toward the top and run down to my neck. Then I get a weird chill, you know kind of like the "willies." For the past 4 days I have had an ear ache with this off and on. Not even in my ear, but at the top of the ear as if I had worn glasses for the first time and it aggrevated my ear where the glasses sat. Then I have been having cluster migraines waking me up, always right before I start me period. Now that this is the first real day of my period, I am having these "hebee gebee feelings of head rushes. Does this ever stop. Why do these symptom just keep morphing into something else? Just when I think I have a handle on things like spotting for 10 days before periods, PMS all month, chronic fatigue the week of and during period, something sneaks up on me and it's always something weird.
Does anyone ever experience shakiness the first day of their periods? Weak, lightheaded shakiness. I am so done with this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can I scream? S C R E A M!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can explain mine to you, but I am not sure if it is the same thing. On the right side of my head, I get a feeling of "chills" like when your hair stands-on-ends type feeling, (you know the feeling like when someone rubs a light feather on you and it gives you a shiver, sort of like that but creepier) and it goes all the ways down to that side of my face/cheeks. My ear has a full feeling sometimes like a pressure in there, and sometimes the tip of that ear turns bright red. It is a scary feeling. I always imagine the worst with it. Is this like what you are describing when you say chill?

I get the ear thing, behind my ear, like where the glasses will rest. Mine is from TMJ. It manifests into ear pressure, pain behind the ear and in the head, temple. I have had the buzzy, hair standing up feeling too It is quite creepy. Maybe TMJ is the culprit. i have been diagnosed with it from several doctors/dentists. It is very uncomfortable and when it flares up it is really bad.

I hope you feel better.

Hey bchgrl65,
Yes, thats how I would describe what I have been experiencing. Even the ear that turns bright red....plus it burns a little. I can't even beging to make sense out of this, can you?

Hi enough,
I can agree with the TMJ thing. It's short for Temporal Mandibular Joint. When I worked for an Orthodontist, he specialized in treating patients suffering with debilitating symptoms due to the bite being malaligned. I too was treated for it many years ago and wore a splint to bed. Funny, now that I think of it, I had some dental work done about 7 weeks ago that really messed up my bite. It took weeks to get my bite comfortable. It was even on the same side I had the dental work. That's were I am having the ear pain. Thanks for the suggestion. I can see a connection here........

Debra,
My TMJ is getting really bad. I have neck pain that goes up the back of my head and makes me feel very out of sorts. I even get a little nausea with it. The clenching at night is what makes it worse, not to mention eating crunchy things. I hope you have a better day. Using hot compresses helps alot, of course you can't carry one around, so days are difficult, but it helps at night.
