sad.gif Hi Everyone,

I am so glad I found this site! I am 41 years old, and I cannot believe at times that these palps are harmless. I was reading through many of your posts, and I wonder if by palps most of you mean a fast heart rate, or skipped beats ect. I get PVC's (skips), and I must be having them every second beat today, all I need to do is breathe and they come. I walked out into the cold and I must have had 15 of them (not in a row, but sure felt like it) Crazy. It is just unbelievable.

I really am a very positive and spiritual person, but it is hard to feel that way today! I am just getting so many. My period should be about 3 or 4 days away, so I am sure that has something to do with it. I just don't remember a day this bad. I have had all the tests, ECG, ECHO, Stress Test, ect... all ok.

I guess I just want to know that others have lived through days this bad, where it is just one after another. I am sure glad I found this site. biggrin.gif

I have been spacey for months, my memory has been horrible, these palps have been going on for 5 years, I just didn't know what was causing all of this. I get dizzy, I am tired, moody, hot flashes...

Wow, don't mean to be so negative on my very first post! Just a bad day I guess...

Thanks for listening!

Michelle,

Welcome to Power-Surge, the best web site around for women going through "the change," - hee hee. I laugh because that sounds so prim and old fashioned.

I had the palps, too, and when I came here, I learned about taking magnesium for them. It helps. I hardly have them anymore. I also learned about handling anxiety and night sweats.

There are so many wonderful, supportive people on this web site. And YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

Good luck,

WriterMom

Michelle,

Welcome to the best place in the world. I am sorry you are feeling so bad. I have GERD which makes me have skipped beats. I know it sounds strange, but many others have had it as well. It could be that which is giving you trouble. Google gerd and skipped beats, see what you come up with. In the meantime, keep posting and reading. YOu will find so many wonderful women to help you along the way. Good luck.

laugh.gif thank you all for your replies. Today is a bit better, mostly because my attitude with all things is usually not too let them get to me! Sometimes it's just a wee bit difficult to do, you know, when your heart is flopping about in your chest! wacko.gif lol.
I started my cycle today, so that may explain a lot! Thank you all again so much for listening, it is just a matter of getting it out sometimes, I know I am ok, moody, dizzy, forgetful and tired, but ok!! laugh.gif

Have a great day...

Michelle, you might want to try supplementing progesterone. I got great relief from palpitations using the stuff. Check out the progesterone section of the forum for more info.

This week run out and get yourself some Magnesium supplement. It is amazing how much it helped my palps. They are about 99% gone. I do have one on occasion.

I use Slo-Mag or Mag-Ox. These dont loosen you bowls. Also, I LOVE Natural Calm. It can loosen you stools but boy howdy! You will clam down. Loose stools are not dangerous.

See how this works for you. Please PM me and let me know how it works for you!
