Hi, Just wondered if anyone could relate to this. I started to get little bumps on my skin which turned out to be really itchy, areas such as legs, feet, groin and at the side of my breasts. I went to see the doctor who said it could be an allergy so put me on anti-histamines. Some bumps are still here but now I have a lot of itching without getting these bumps now. Mostly around my vagina, at the side of the chest area and just below my tummy button. It feels as though the itching is coming from inside and when you start to itch you just want to keep itching it. It is not bleeding and I haven;t broken the skin and I have moisturised like crazy, which does give me some relief, but it mostly worse when I get into bed.

Periods have gone crazy again now, although the nausea for the time being has subsided, probably because all I can think about now is this horrible itching.

Do you think this is quite normal in peri or do you think it could be something else.

Thanks for your time and thoughts.

Yes, I believe its hormonal. I had this and the doc. said the same thing and I did the same thing and nothing changed it. When I was pregnant I went through a really bad itching period, my whole body constantly itchy. As soon as I delievered, it stopped, I was told then it was hormonal, so yes I know that is what it is. It is annoying though, but temporary and did pass. Good luck

Dear'angiebec'

I agree with 'enough' that this is hormonal.I posted earlier about the itchy rash and hives I had.A full course of Antihistimines did clear them up but this kind of itching, crawling and rash like symptoms are all part of the fun and games we have all come to love and know as Menopause!

So do not worry.Try nice warm, not hot baths and a sprinkle of Johnson's baby powder, the one for prickly skin.

Hope all is well soon

Best Wishes

Thank you for your replies. Its just a relief to know that others are going through or have been through something similar. Its so annoying as well as the continuous scratching. Its just like a prickly feeling, that needs to be itched.

Can't wait for it all to end.

Hi - I too have had this terrible itchiness/rash. I recommend to you that you dress really cooly - the last thing you want on top of this is a prickly heat which is what I also got. I took anthistiamines...bathed in salt water and this too helped. It did eventually go away. Thank goodness. Only use Ivory Snow or some other type of laundry detergent. I can't use Tide or any other chemical ridden detergent. Oh and moisturize your body too. Put some aloe vera on skin too if you have it.

Hang in there,
Suzanne
