Hi ladies, I have been getting my left breast tenderness (lower part) these past 2 days though I got my period almost 2 weeks ago. Actually had 2 periods last month with 17 days apart. Any ladies here know if this are all peri-related? Peri is really hard on all of us ...... it is like never ending. Happy New Year to all! tongue.gif Blessy

Hi blessy....

oh yes, breast tenderness! lol ....oh boy, i had that on my left breast too, about 2 mos. ago...i must have had it for about a month altogether, it would come and go...but it was bad! it was all over my breast, sometimes the whole entire breast would ache, or other times, only certain sections would ache ... it was actually quite PAINFUL! I was taking Advil, or Tylenol, which didn't really help. I was actually rubbing BEN GAY muscle rub, on my breast! I know that sounds nuts, but it helped! Yeah, breast pain can be frustrating, and quite debilitating! I felt like bursting into tears most of the time!

I do believe it's VERY peri, very hormonal...yes.

there are some good breast creams that are made of wild yam, which really do help though, type it into google, go to some natural sites, and find it .... it's good stuff! Also, you can try EVENING PRIMROSE OIL, in gel caps...that also helps.....I've been taking that, and the breast pain hasn't returned as of yet.

Hi mydarling, nice to hear from you. I have been taking EPO for years so I guess my system is pretty immune to it already. I had this sore tender feeling whenever my hand touches it. Will leave the pain alone for now. This tenderness usually happens before my period but peri symptoms are so unpredictable. Thank you for your suggestions. Blessy.

I am often plagued with breast pain which is quite severe. It can last weeks at a time. I take EPO but don't see that it has helped much. I thought it had as I went for a long time without the pain, then it returned with a vengeance while I continued the EPO. It is usually in my left breast. Some days I can't stand anything touching it. Sometimes it is just the nipple, other times it is the outside part. Advil helps my pain some but not much. I have tried a prescription anti-inflammatory cream that did not help. I don't consume much caffeine. I should try to limit my salt intake more as water retention is a known contributor to breast pain. Join the club and take care!

Thanks Gracie2006 for your reply.
Though I am sure that this pain is all hormone related and also I had my mammo and ultrasound done in October last year (results OK) , I still had this worry and started to think if this is one of those 'C' thing.
Been having this left breast tenderness for the last 5 days and my right one suddenly feels a little tender too. The feeling is like bruised sort of pain. Is this a 'normal' pattern for perimenopause? Thanks again for hearing me out. Bless all smile.gif

Breats tenderness is almost never a sign of cancer. Unfortunately, BC is usually painless. Do you drink coffee or caffeinated soda? The reason I ask, is they can both cause fibrocystic breast disease, an uncomfortable, but bening condition. I know that when I drink a lot of coffee, my breasts get lumpy and sore..

I mean to say "benign"...sorry for the typos...
