Full Version: Pain in Thumb

Right before Thanksgiving I was cleaning my kitchen, unloading the dishwasher. I reached for two glasses in the same hand at the same time. I had the most incredible pain and stretching feeling (like stretching a rubberband) in between my thumb and first finger.

Ever since then, whenever I try to grasp something large or stretch my arm it still feels like that. I can spread my fingers and thumb widely with no problem but when I try to hold anything or just stretch my arm up or out whatever I feel that sensation in my thumb. It is quite painful and feels like I about to stretch something to the breaking point.

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced something like this and do you know what the heck it is. I see my rheumy and neuro in January and will ask them but would kind of like to know if it has to do with peri/meno!!!

Thanks in advance to everyone who reads and responds.
Hugs to you all and happy New Year.

Thanks Lady E!!! I kind of thought it was muscle or tendon but wanted to be sure. Happy New Year to you and yours!
