Full Version: Circulation, numbness & tingling

Hi everyone.

A couple of weeks ago I had an inflamed varicose vein, took myself off to the doc who assured me it was a surface vein and I'm at no risk and gave me anti inflams, sure enough the swelling has gone down but the hard little lump is still there. I know I have serious varicose veins and I am on the waiting list for surgery though it could take 2 years.

But since then... I've been having numbness and tingling in my fingers (had the fingers one before, it was a nerve in the neck and my chiro sorted it) and in my feet. I get a burning sensation in my feet too. Also occasionally occurs in my nose, tongue, back of my head, other parts. The arms and hands also sometimes feel weak but they aren't.

So I have been worried sick about all kinds of problems until it occurred to me last night - go ask the good ladies of Power Surge if any of them have had the same thing. Also with this, bouts of extreme tiredness which come and go. Constant niggling worry at the back of my mind about blood clots, because of my vein problem. (Can't do anything about that except wait.)

Went to my chiro yesterday and she adjusted my neck so I would hope the hands/fingers one will improve, also adjusted lower spine and recommended I take B complex vitamins, so I have started on that, but it is still a worry - anyone else experiencing same?

I am 51, still getting fairly normal and fairly regular periods but beginning to see a breakdown in the cycle (spotting and other stuff) as well as the occasional night sweat/hot flush.

Best wishes for the festive season to all!

Hi,
I understand your worries, but many of us have been going through this, myself just his week. I think it's all connected to tmj, arthritis, etc, but the worry is there nonetheless. It is hard to turn off the pani thing, but I am sure you are just fine, and being seen by the doctor, who, if was worried, would have done something immediatley.

Hang in there, best wishes to you too.

Thanks, Enough for those words. Not sure what "tmj" is (I know I probably should.) This evening the temperature is up a bit, I think this may have been connected to a flu-ish virus which has been going around, which seems to take people different ways. The young lad I work with had it and he spoke of weakness and fatigue, he was amazed how it had affected him so strongly as he is a young healthy lad of 22. So maybe my immune system is finally starting to fight it. Just in time for Christmas, yay. I shall bloat out on food and wine tomorrow and try to forget all about it. smile.gif

Tmj is the joint in frontt of the ear. It may click when opening and cause head pain.arm pain, etc. google it and you will find tons of info.

I say, have a glass of wine, it's good for the heart and the soul.

I get this also. It has been happening for a while now. I get it in my face and I hate it. Also my toes and fingers at times. Sometimes when I drink wine, it will bring it on but it usually disappears after a half hour or so. Of course it freaks me out enough to stop drinking the wine and to start drinking water. I think in that case my body was trying to tell me something, I had enough wine.

Yes please Snowmoon I would be interested in seeing your post.

If even ONE other person gets the same symptoms then I know I'm not going mad! The great thing about this board is you usually find more than one. smile.gif

Merry Christmas.
