I'm 54...in Peri...skipped several periods this year, sometimes 3 in a row...but then just had 3 totally normal ones in a row! Had hot flashes for a few months, then they stopped. Nothing. Now I'm on day 5 of this latest period....hot flashes have started again, along with a sharp little twinging pain in my left ovary area this morning! Also felt just plain sickish yesterday--no appetite--but better this morning.
I didn't think I'd have hot flashes while in the middle of a period? what's with that?? Plus, my health anxiety came back, and I found myself crying yesterday thinking I was probably dying of something! geez!! I need to get a grip................

I feel for you. I am 50. My hormones are off as I am not sleeping thru the night and my health anxiety came back as well. Actually I have allot of anxiety since the hormones are off. I know this as I have been through it before and I hate it. I am trying to get them balanced right now. I get tested today and should have a clue on what to add or subtract in a few days (I hope). I have been dealing with this stuff for years. I have yet to skip a period but this year things are different because my periods a soo short and light now. When does this crap end!

Yeah, when does this end??? I just found out I'm going to be a grandma, and I bet I'll be dealing with this stuff till the grandchild is grown!
I actually feel better today. Yesterday was the 4th day of my period..I always feel weird on the 4th day...the PMS stuff comes back, and everything else. I'm not taking hormones...going naturally...so far, so good, not bad. Its just that I have "days" when I complain alot;;) My family is sick of me talking about it!

Wow when does end. I would do anything for that answer. I am 51 and doctor told me I was menopauseing, not peri just menopausing what does that mean, when I am still having periods..well actually, The periods are getting really wierd. I bled the whole month of nov, and now for the past 2 days I am having just a bloody show...I am an emtional wreck. I cry, I shake I just want normal thoughts. I am on HRT. But I think I am going to ask for BHRT cuz I think I am getting to much Prog. I take my hormone in the evening, It is a como of estr. and Prog...So by morning I have the jitter and I am anxious...I dont know what the answer is anymore.

But I feel for you and your symptoms..Sounds like your periods are trying to stop....
