Hi
Just thought I would update you on my post regarding a trapped nerve I have in my neck, you may remember it, I was getting paranoid that I have a spinal tumour. Well I decided to pay privately and have an MRI scan, I have now had the report and I am so relieved to tell you that there is nothing serious going on, just general wear and tear (in other words 'old age'!!). It cost me £450 to have done but I can tell you it was worth every penny to finally get some peace of mind. It also feels as though the pain is getting better, probably because I am not worrying about it now.
I also want to thank you all for your kind and caring messages, they were such a comfort to me and very much appreciated.
Take care.

Mary -

I'm so happy and relieved for you! Sometimes we just need to have the tests done in order to convince our brains to believe that nothing is wrong so our bodies can then heal themselves. I know some people think that testing just aggravates the health anxiety, but this probably comes from people who have never been gripped by this devastating problem.

Now begin the mantra - I will never succumb to panic about symptoms again - and don't forget to never google symptoms.
