Hi Ladies!
I've been doing better, but yesterday at my annual physical, my dr. switched me from .9 mg. of Cenestin which I had been on for about 3 years to 1 mg. of estradiol (because of cost). He also halved my progestin from 5 mg. to 2.5 mg. Today is the first day of the switch. I also take ativan and paxil for anxiety and nerves.
Has anyone made this switch from synthetic estrogen to bioidentical? Things are a little rough today. I feel more nervous, sweaty palms, etc. I also switched from Ambien CR to generic ambien a little over a week ago (because of cost!) and seemed to have started feeling more nervous after that too.
How much time do I allow to feel better? I can't afford to go backwards right here at Christmas!!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

Dear 'joette'

About six months ago I was switched from one Synthetic HRT for another-we do not have access to bio-iodenticals.It took me however at least six weeks for my body to switch and feel better.Eventually though he had to up the dose as the 1mg of estradoil was too low for me.And yes my anxiety was a lot higher so I used Xanax as needed.

I was also switched from Prozac to the Generic and that took some adjustment too.So yes it does take a little time to feel better but if after about six weeks you feel no better or God forbid worse then would advise you to go back to Gyno.Cost is important but your health and well being should not be comprimised.

Wishing You Luck
